It records at 5/10/30/60 fps. Its shutter-speed range is 1/4000 to 30 s (mechanical); 1/16000 to 30 s (electronic); X-sync at 1/250. It uses a hybrid phase detection and contrast detection autofocus. Its focus modes are: Single AF (AF-S), continuous AF (AF-C), auto AF-S/AF-C selection (AF-A), fulltime AF (AF-F) and manual (M). It has 135 Single Point AF focus areas and 41 Auto-area AF focus areas.
It uses a Nikon EN-EL15 Lithium-Ion battery.
It has a Nikon 1 lens mount.
